AHHHHHH
Let’s buy a rear wheel drive sports car in December I said….the weather Chanel says it’s going to be a warm “el Nina” winter

It’s been a slow slog. At 999mi right now. Was doing great and then multiple massive snow storms hit one after another. So close - may just take it in at like 1,100mi.

Yes sir the struggle is real. December 31 pickup and I’m at about 120 miles and original rank of gas.
Between the temps below freezing, snow and then residual salt everywhere I can’t do that to my new girl’s paint. Last edited by wtb1313; 01-19-2025 at 05:40 AM.. |

I went through the same thing last year when I got my 24 in December. It’s sucks. It’s in the garage on summer tires and comes out if and when we get dry days in the mid 40s.

I’m currently stuck on 368, but that’s because I’m out of the country on a work assignment.

I bought a 6mt m2 back in October. Got it to 1100 miles and traded it in before the first service for an auto. So I’ve had to do it twice now. That sucked.

Hated it. I had it three weeks. It’s the same manual feel all my past bmws had since my e92 days. I should have known better.
The gearing wasn’t ideal either.

I love my manual, it isn’t perfect but it is good enough. I’m sure the auto is great but I would never trade my manual for it. Even after sitting in seven hours of traffic.

I compare every stick I’ve driven against the 2022 ZL1 I had. It wasn’t my favorite car overall but the shifting and clutch feel were amazing. |

It snowed a little bit last night here in San Antonio. Very rare event. However, the roads were dry by noon so I could take her out for some miles.
FYI, the Yokos are a bit slippery when it is 38 degrees outside... |

I think probably my STI would be my favorite. The BMW is a bit more mushy I would say but I have 8k miles in it without any noted mishifts because of it. My other manuals were Mini Cooper S for 15 years, Mazda 3 and STI.
