Just Ordered 2025 M2 :D
Hi All -
My local dealership had 1 M2 allocation and I just ordered my 2025 M2 . I wanted to keep it lean so I hardly included any options. I ordered from Sun Motors in PA and it should arrive in May at the latest. - Portimao Blue Metallic - 6 Speed - Shadowline - Lighting - Red Calipers - Carbon Fiber Interior Trim - 930 Black Wheels I previously owned 2 335i and a z4 but that was almost 15 years ago. I'm super excited to get back into a BMW, specifically a stick! Any advice, tips, things to know please pass that on. Also what are some essential parts? I definitely want to add some Carbon Fiber exterior (any good brands?). Thanks all and looking forward to being a member of this forum again!

Congrats!
Do you mind sharing how much over/under MSRP? I'm in line for a February allocation and curious if I'm paying right. They are offering me 1k under. |

I paid MSRP, nothing under or over. So if you got under I'd say good deal! I did have a trade and I was happy with what they gave me so in all was pleased with final outcome.

I did see the Voodoo Blue - it was in the garage. They were prepping for snow and the Harrisburg car show. It was nice but I liked the Portimao personally! They had a used 2025 for sale, only 70 miles, with ton of OEM CF for $73,500. It sold the evening before - so upset. I loved the look so ordered same color and will add CF later. |

[QUOTE=Fenys;31796022]I ordered a voodoo one back in July - it's built now waiting for a ship to get here. 73k sticker. Portimao looks fantastic and i would be in for one if i didn't have a dark blue miata as well!
I'll be at the auto show next weekend so it'll be cool to see. Thanks for the heads up! Hello fellow M2/Miata owner 👋 |

Congrats! Guaranteed you'll love it.
As far as essential parts, given where you live I would suggest a winter wheel/tire package. I wanted OEM BMW rims, so I went with their 829M set. $3570 from BMW of Stratham NH. Another OEM option is the 826M set, which are the same wheels as on the M3/M4. And of course you could go aftermarket. Plenty of info in the Wheels and Tires section of the forum. Good luck with yours. Hope it doesn't take too long.

If you like the look of the CF air inlets you might consider having those optioned as I've heard they can be a pain to install. I also did a pretty lean build but sometimes wish I had optioned the carbon fiber roof. I do however regularly use my sunroof. In my experience Alpha N and MHC CF parts are flawless in terms of finish and fitment, but be prepared to pay. |

As far as inlets, thinking of doing those black grill covers. Cheaper, adds some protection, and the CF down there will probably get chipped to hell.

Main benefit of the $2600 sunroof delete option is the extra headroom for track helmet...

Ah. Makes sense. I probably don't plan to track so not a huge deal to me but good to be aware.

Congratulations on the new car. PMB is the color I went for too. Just looks so good in different lighting conditions.
The 2 essential mods for me are lowered/spacers and a front lip. Lots of information on this forum regarding both. The M2 shouldn't sit the way it does from stock, and once you see a nice lowered car with a flush fit, the stock cars just look wrong. |

You can’t option them when configuring the car, as there’s no carbon fiber exterior pack for the M2. |
