Does a midpipe "break in"?

Just got the AA single resonated installed, and in conjunction with the SST valve controller set to full open, it's a good bit louder than I expected. I don't have many miles on it, will it mellow out in time? Does the resonator have some kind of break in period?

Side note, I did the MST single sided intake at the same time, and it sounds great.

Other than the oils burning off there won't be much change in the future.

I plan on getting that intake as well. How does this sound with the SST set at 50%? I plan on a resonated single mid-pipe but will likely go with MAD due to cost.

I haven't played with the different modes yet, I drove it home from the shop in full open mode. I'm hoping OEM mode tones it down.

On my stock exhaust, the SST at 50% is not much different in loudness than 100% open....I wonder if that will give you the volume, but a little more mellow without the annoyance....

50% should show a larger difference when driving it hard compared to just normal and idling where it honestly doesn't sound that different. As you accelerate and get in the higher rpms it will start to build some back pressure and force the air through the muffler.

For idle and cruising 25% mode will me more noticeable.

the sound will change after sometime with any exhaust upgrade but its nothing major , most will not notice the sound changing after a few miles with the midpipe
