CD Player

Anyone know of a plug and play solution to add a CD player to the standard system?

I think that Bluetooth is lossy just like ripping to MP3 but I think the G87 will play FLAC files (lossless) so ripping to FLAC format will provide the closest sound quality to the original CD.

There are lots of ripping programs out there. Foobar is a free one that I have used for years. Not sure if it is still free but dbPowerAmp was a good one.

Ripping just takes time but it is a much better option since you can carry literally hundreds of CDs on one thumbdrive that fits in your pocket.

I have an ultra low-profile Lexar 128GB thumb drive stuffed with lossless FLAC burns from my 1,000-plus CD collection pretty much permanently stuck in my '25's USB slot. For ripping, I use a MBP, JRiver MediaCenter (fantastic), and either a Samsung (primary) or LG (backup) external CD drive, both of which have the Philips motor/laser/tray assembly preferred by most of the computer audio community for ripping and playback.
