A lot of people have been asking about this lately, so here’s a clear, definitive breakdown.

How to tell if your DME is locked from CS Engine Flash
Note that the lock applies only to the CS Engine Flash (DME). It does not affect other CS-related flashes such as transmission, steering, differential, traction, or suspension.

How to check your status:
Go into your iDrive and check your software version.

• If your version is 11/2025.30, your DME is LOCKED.
• If your version is anything below that (e.g., 11/2025.24 or 07/2025.xx), your DME is NOT LOCKED.

Understanding the version format:
• First number (07 or 11) = month
• Second number = year
• Final number (.24 or .30) = revision

These map to iLevel numbers:
• 11/2025.30 → 25-11-530
• 11/2025.24 → 25-11-524
• 07/2025.xx → 25-07-XXX

What “locked” means:
Your vehicle has the new bootloader, which cannot be downgraded, and therefore your engine ECU is locked for the CS DME Flash.

Thank you for the info. Mine is still unlocked. I got 07/2025.38. I just disabled the OTA auto software update on the car and on the phone.

Yep - anyone should disable Remote Software update in the Data Privacy settings if you even have the slightest thought of flash tuning.
For me I won’t be doing any kind of full unlock for sometime; I personally have all the power I’ll need for the street.
