My 2025 Grigio Telesto Build 6MT

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Picked up my new 2025 Grigio Telesto M2 6MT about two weeks ago. This is my second G87 coming from a 2024 Alpine White AT. My 2024 was pretty complete with suspension, wheels, bolt ons and carbon aero

Loved the G87 platform and really the best bang for the buck. Decided that it would be something i would keep for longer as i usually lease and move on. My 2024 was a lease and only about 15 months into the lease. I picked up the 2024 off the lot and was missing some options like carbon buckets and manual but i was impatient.

Fast forward a little over year later. Wanted a manual before they became extinct. My initial thoughts was a Carrera T or GT3. All my buddies drive Porsche and i’m the only dude that hasn’t moved on.

So i made a trip to the Porsche and got some seat time in the Carrera T. Sticker 178k and i was not all impressed. Build quality and fit finishes just not there. I get it it’s the base level Carrera but at 178k i couldn’t even believe it. Carrera S are over 200k. Not sure when their stickers multiples but from buddies sometime in the last 3-4 years things got really crazy. GT3 although ideal just wasn’t a real option until the hype dies down.

So knowing my only two real options for manuals were not really options i placed an order for 26 Grigio Telesto 6MT fully optioned. Dealer said sometime next year and was happy to wait as i still had my 24.

Well i mentioned i was an impatient person so i kept looking online and found almost my exact build sitting on a lot a couple hundred miles away. Only option missing was heating steering wheel. I could live without it or just retrofit. Ended up working a pretty good deal and here we are.

So why Grigio Telesto. I wanted something unique as i ended up purchasing. Till this day i haven’t come across many with Grigio and its a pretty amazing color in person. I had never seen in person, possibly on a Lambo but it changes color in different light so hard to tell what your looking at. wasn’t a fan of any of the bright individuals so Grigio was definitely the right choice.

So i parted out my 24 with intentions of moving everything over to the 25. I moved quick and have almost the car fully built. Currently at 500 miles and waiting for my break in service before i complete the build

Here are the specs of the build and some feedback

2025 Grigio Telesto 6MT
-Carbon Roof
-Carbon Package which includes carbon trim and buckets
- Lighting Package
-M Shadow Lights
-Heads Up display
-Blue Valioers

Exterior Mods
- TRE 87 carbon kit, front lip with winglets, side skirts with winglets, rear winglets, rear diffuser. i ended up going with the TRE kit as it doesn’t lower the car very much but still gives you the aggressive stance. i wanted a kit that wouldn’nt make life harder. Been through a couple kits where daily driving was no longer fun
-CT Carbon duckbill high rise carbon spoiler
-CT carbon rear reflector delete
-TRE carbon mirror caps
-20% tint all around
-AST HAS Lowering kit. i’m at lowest setting in the front and not happy with the drop. on my AT i was very low and still had some more room. the MT weights over a 100lbs less and i can tell the weight difference is affecting my drop.
- Custom BBS LM’s with converted 1 piece barrels. So still a two piece wheel but had them re-barreled from AR Motorworks. Gained 1-1.5 inch in lip and much more aggressive offsets and fitment. no need for spacers anymore. love hot they turned out
-Mega Chip mud guards
-Aliexpress yellow DRl

future exterior mods on order or waiting to be installed

-IND paint match center trim. 8 week turnaround time for these guys and can’t wait for them to arrive
-Carbon Fiber One slat grills
- Infinite Autowerks Duck Bill spoiler
-CT carbon headlight trim
-TRE air inlet carbon
- KW V3
-Suspension Secrets camber plates and rear control arms. New BBS fitment is aggressive and need more camber
- Black Market Race Matte Carbon Fiber Strut Brace
-Black Market Race Raw Billet Alum Caps

Engine Mods
-TFL catback exhaust

Future Engine Mods ( waiting for my 1200 mile break service)
- Project Gamma Front Mount Intakes. these sound amazing with some extra boost.
-Race Chip Piggy back
-MMX turbo inlet pipes. these increase the blow off sounds and supposedly help flow. doing it for the sound

Interior Mods
-M performance center console cover
-M performance Floor Matts
-M Performance carbon door sills
-M Performance door pins
-Alpha 1 up10 Amp

future interior mods
- Full Morel Speaker upgrade. they are the integrated options but should improve the audio

Beside a couple changes here and there i should be done with the build for now.

i did not document the build with pictures well but here are some pics from an imprompt photoshoot over the weekend

Let me know if you have any questions

Holy cow, that looks amazing! I've seen Grigio Telesto on F80s, and agree that it's incredible, especially in person. Great choice!

I joke about how many different color greys BMW has - but this car is great example of grey done right.
Great build, enjoy it!

Looks awesome. I have the AST HAS kit ready to install once I take delivery of mine in the next month or so. Interesting that that is the lowest setting. I was thinking I would probably only go to the halfway point, but I might just do the lowest. Any rubbing at all?

if you have a manual trans you can expect something similar in drop. i have another thread going and various lowering options all sit higher in the manual. the 120 pound difference between manual and automatic does make a difference. you can tell on my driver side it sits lower. Nobody sits in my passenger and never really settled

i am rubbing in the front a lot and it’s from the very aggressive offsets. It’s probably running in the negative around -5 range and around +5 in thr rear

here is my automatic on different wheels 20x10 et 8 20x11 et 12 no rubbing with this setup

Car looks awesome, great work! I love Grigio Telesto.

What's the deal with the one piece barrel/lip? Is it truly 1 piece or just welded?

What made you go with KW instead?

i have run KW v3 on previous cars and have been impressed. they also work with my camber plates i just purchased and lastly i got a pretty good deal on them.

combination of a lot of factors but i do second guess the need for full coils atleast at this point . a little buyer remorse but the deal i got made it make sense to purchase now

Car looks absolutely stunning, congrats man.

TR87 kit suits this so nicely. Should look at getting the front ducts!

Looks good.

I can't figure out the non-heated wheel.
It's like $200.

I passed on the car I ordered due to tariffs and got one already in production. Almost exactly like the car I ordered minus the heated wheel. WTF
