Software update question
First of all, great board, just registered and read all the software threads.
I expierenced some 'bugs' with the iDrive/NAV myself including: - Total system failure (black screen). - Slow menu's - While scrolling through a list larger then on screen you need to "override" the iDrive knob's "stopping" power to see the rest of the list. etc.. So i read that a software update should be available and i went to drive to the dealer. Now somehow i can't get along with dealers very well since they try to ignore your questions. When asking about a software update this "Service guy" told me there was no update available for the E90, but he would recieve version 18.0 in the next 2 weeks. He wasn't sure if it was for the E90 as well. Question: anyone heard the same? + Is there a list of software modifications anywhere ? Regards, Henk. |

Yup...there isn't any new software except for the stuff that is in all the first production run E90s. Dealer tried some new programming on my car, but it was the version that's on my car now.
And all this time, I thought iDrive would have been perfected by now. It's been out for 3 years now, and on four different models |

I havent had any confirmation yet what new E90 CIP 18.0 contains if any. ( its just starting to be released in europe) The big September update should be CIP 19.0 For those wondering, only the dealer can tell you which software version is loaded |
