Blufin testing Dyno Session - Early march. Yorkshire.

I'm arranging a before and after Dyno session for my upcoming Blufin flash.

As I live in the area, I'll be using the Dynopack hub dyno at the AET Turbo's facility in Normanton, Wakefield. This is not a rolling road as the units bolt directly to the hubs. This avoids tyre slippage etc... and is highly accurate.

I know the guys at AET Turbos personally and have been to many sessions there and can vouch for their total proffesionlism and state of the art facilities...

I'm organising this alongside my Subaru club involvement, so if the numbers are good, we can expect a decent discount too..

If you're interested, let me know.

This will be intertesing. Nothing against SC / Bluefin but certainly keen to hear what comes out of this.

The guys at AET don't do the Blufin, but do other tuning boxes and general mapping, so I feel they're going to tempt me with something before I call SC..

I'll post up a full report once done...

Hi, I might be tempted to put it on the dyno hub. Let me know the date / costs.

Thanks
Jules.

Al,

I have a 335D and had a conversation with a bloke from Superchips/Bluefin the other day.

I could be interested in this and it would possibly be a bonus to have two 335D's tested before and after on the same day.

Can you PM me how much you paid and from where? The bloke I spoke to was reluctant to discount, but I doubt you paid £435 (I may be wrong)

Anyway, look forward to hearing from you.

Matt

There is/was a tuning company which was tuning cars including 335d but was blowing up some cars by loaded wrong maps for different cars etc, also had his premises broken into and his computers stolen etc.

Which company was it? anyone?

I know of a company in the uk who chipped cars that aren't highly rated and their dyno skills left a lot to be desired, but don't know of one that blew up engines.....

After a few delays in sourcing one (seems stocks were low)... my Blufin should arrive Monday.

I'll therefore arrange the RR session for the following weekend...

Apologies for the delay.....

I believe the one you are referring to may be based in Bromsgrove and does have the word 'chip' in the name.

You won't have any issues with superchips/bluefin they tend to be conservative with their claims.

Make sure you mention the forum when you order usually good for 10/15%, ask to speak to Jamie Turvey the Technical director as he has the power to authorise a discount.
