DxO Labs software discount...
I got this 15% off coupon on my email if anyone wants to use it...
RAFMEGRKP If you are not familiar with DxO's Optic Pro software, then I suggest you try the trial version. It's a very useful tool for correcting optic defaults. Anyways..here's their website http://www.dxo.com/us/photo

Nice!
Of course, I think in all fairness you should state that you are also getting a referral bonus every time that code is used. $13 at Amazon for each one (or 10 Euros or 9 Pounds, depending on where you are of course.) I received the same email from DxO with my own referral code to share for the 15% discount after I signed up for their free trial.

I'm not saying you shouldn't get the cash from the referral, just that it is nice to let people know about it. I've only got the trial version, and I don't think I can use my own code to get the 15% off. So I may use YOUR code to get the discount! So it's all good!

Nikon D300 with the 18-200 VR. I want to add a few more lenses though. I've found an 80-200 F/2.8 AF-S local on craigslist that I'm looking at. It doesn't have VR like the latest 70-200 F/2.8, but it is nearly half the price. And I've read some reviews of corner softness in some 70-200 samples (on FX not DX). The 80-200 outperforms it there. While I have a DX now, I may move up to full-frame sometime in the distant future. Be nice to have non-DX limited lenses..... Oh, and I found a 14-24 F/2.8 on CL as well, but the guy wants nearly full retail for it. These cameras are nearly as big a money pit as the E90! Let's free, front BBK or 200mm F/2.0 prime? Hmmm...... I need to win the lottery!

I was at Glazer's yesterday, and they have two 80-200 AF-D's for around $900. They were asking $2,150 for the 70-200 VR. Ouch.....

I swear by DxO's Optics Pro software. It's as if all my zoom lenses are now as good as any primes I could own, at all focal lengths. It's amazing, IF (big "if") your lenses and camera body are supported. As a RAW batch conversion processor, while doing the camera/lens-specific corrections, it's very convenient.

Enjoy your $13
Never mind, it didn't work for some reason. It keeps rejecting my order when I use your referral code. EDIT: LOL Sorry! for some reason yours didn't work...but mine did??? Does that mean I get $13 from Amazon then? Last edited by TWiTCHY; 03-29-2009 at 12:22 AM.. |
