Missing power socket/outlet?
Basically, I don't know if my new car is missing some 12V cigarette lighter power sockets/outlets. Are there supposed to be 2 power outlets in the passenger compartment below the passenger air vents & above the ashtray? Is there any power outlet in the trunk?
I don't see any of those in my car. (I only have the front center console and the center armrest ones.) My car is a US-spec 325i w/ Sport package, which I just picked up last Thursday (and have driven 500 miles). Please direct me to the thread if the topic has been discussed already. I did a search but I couldn't find the info. (I read this site religiously, almost more than once daily, and I don't recall reading about it.) Thanks. |

Try Bimmerfest's forums. This has been discussed one of the two places, can't remember which. Basically the jist was that US production does not include the rear power outlet. These are for Euro (?) production only. They supposedly use a disclaimer in the product brochures (showing rear power outlets) that the model shown is a European model.
Can anyone confirm?

Here's the thread that discusses it. U.S. cars don't get the power sockets.
