Sorry about the low res, will get that sorted...in answer to your question, yes i did leave the rest of the system standard. I also went for the HiFi tweeters, not the Logic 7 ones....no need to spend that much on an un-amped system, would only unbalance the system etc...sounds a lot brighter and not like the sound is in the footwells!!

But like you, i agree, with good quality recordings, the system doesn't sound to bad at all

Haven't and won't be telling my insurance about my spoiler, got the spoiler direct from BMW £96 delivered in ready to paint primer, FYI it also had the fitting kit/tape inside the box!! which was nice

Yeah, pretty straight forward really, take your time when removing the passanger side door panel, few more screws than on the drivers side. Easily done within an hour, and that includes a sound test too!!

You've not been around for a while Andy; hope you are well. See you've stuck with the 330d for a while longer!!! Seems to be nice suble mod and look forward to better piccies. I've got the BMW spoiler from the Accessories brochure and I agree something on the boot finishes off the back nicely.

Looks very nice, I'm thinking of getting the e90 m3 spoiler for my e90. Where did you get the spoiler painted and how much did they charge?

Hey mate yeah it's been a while. Sold the E90 last year & p**sed of to Australia for a few months. Done with the Uk, more opportunities in Oz, and the beaches are better than rhyls!
330d, not much point having owt else, am really loving the coupe more than the E90 though. Feels so different on ride & quality. What was it like for you coming from a 335i coupe to the saloon? Good to hear from u mate

How much are people getting charged for painting there spoilers?

Andy, thought once I'd sent the message that I thought you had an E90 before, the E92 looks very nice, especially with the add-ons.

My change from an E92 335i to an E90 330d was me trying to be sensible and cut costs; inside I was kicking & screaming all the way. The E92 did, as you say, feel a much more special place to be, plus it was fully loaded whereas it's replacement isn't quite so.

Hey ho, still saving a quite a bit of cash following the switch, not that I feel it once my wife realised!!!

Anyway, back onto subject... ...painting spoilers...

Needs must hey....I've had 3 cars since the 330d E90 which went of to Dublin!!, N reg Golf 1.8i Driver/SE (£250, was better than walking and did me until i went to Oz, then into a Pug 406 diesel estate, again, beated walking & was really cheap, both sold at a small profit, then when i got back got my ass into a Passat Highline, mint car, sold for big profit....should ofset what i loose on the E92...will only have this for 6 months or so....

good to see your still on the forum though....think when we last spoke it was about how firm the M Sport suspension is and tramlining how time flies.

Right I have a question. Bear with me on this!

The standard set up is the 2 door speakers 2 shelf speakers and 2 bass speakers.

Right now if you add in the tweeters they just plug in. The in line cross over isolates the highs so that just tweeters just get the high notes. So far so good! Whilst all this goes on what happens to the mid range speakers in the door do they still play the high notes too in which case surely all that adding the tweeters does is raise the sound stage of the high notes?

Or have I well and truly missed the point?

Think your pretty much on the button. What you have to remember is the tweeters fill in the high frequencies that the mid range just can't reach. It does lift the sound really well, it is subtle but balanced. Cheap mod with good results, plus the Corner mouldings look really nice with the grills!

Get it done
