e90 a-pillar/dash rattle

I have a really annoying rattle coming from the a-pillar area of the dashboard. Anybody has/had the same? Any known fixes for it?

1) Welcome to the forum.

2) There's no such place as Sillicon Valley. You might want to try Silicon Valley.

3) Take it to the dealer and they'll probably put felt in some strategic areas, which should fix it for the time being.

Why did you ask the question if you are sure of the answer you're looking for?

Either do it yourself or take it to the dealer. Same end results, felt in strategically-placed areas as Tim said.

What the hell were you looking for? That sounded like an answer to me. The dealer puts felt in to quell the unsavory noises most people find going on in their cars. There are a million threads about it. He did the favor of not telling you to search or scour the forums before posting....

Sorry guys, apparently this forum is only for oh-I-am-such-a-smart-a#$ people.

I was looking for a mature answer to a simple question: who encountered the same problem, any advice on known problem areas and how to get them fixed DIY style.

Goodbye!

wtf are you going on about?

Tim did offer you a fix. FELT.

1. buy yourself a roll of felt tape from www.findtape.com
2. open up the A-pillar cover: unclip the plastic cover, and there's a screw holding the cover in place.
3. felt-tape anything that's loose, e.g. airbag wires

ROFL @ idiocy of OP....

I can't believe you would start a thread that can be found in a search, and then when politely given the solution, go postal on everyone trying to help....

Be glad you left the forum because there's no better outcome you could have hoped for. Damn, you were told and shown exactly what to do, and you get pissy???

Tim gave the guy a solid answer. I don't see what the problem was.

He was just being too nice, we need the old guy back to deal with such threads.

Maybe it was Tim pointing out that the OP can't spell out the place where he lives?
