How can I enter my garage

So, I have a single one car garage with a single one car entry. I usually work inside my garage when I work on my car. However, there is a ledge type of structure between the pavement outside and the pavement inside to prevent water from entering the garage. Before I lowered my car My front bumper would slightly touch the ledge. However, I will be lowering my car with H&R Sport Springs. What can I use to enter and exit my car without scraping my underbody.
Thanks in advance guys

I had a slope put on the approach to my garage, that solved the problem for me. But my garage is above street level, not sure about yours.

I'm with Bimdaddy. Mix up cement to create a permanent slope.

Damn, sounds more like a curb than a ledge to me... Why is it so big?

You don't have to actually buy this. Go to home depot, get some lumber, bevel the edges and voila.

I would say cement is the most solid solution.

I echo that it's the most concrete solution

I would personally choose to have a contractor with a concrete saw come and cut a bevel on the concrete lip of your garage.

Going the bag of concrete route will probably work for a while, but I would be concerned that in time it would start to crack and break up on you, unless it is a big enough pour that you can work some rebar into the ramp. This is especially true if the ramp will be in the sun and go through daily heating/cooling cycles.

Edit: I see you are in NJ, so you also have the freeze/thaw issue to worry about. I'd definitely say go with getting the lip cut down.

Just floor it and go up the bump as fast as you can. What's the worst that could happen?

Well that's all good as long as it doesn't destroy the integrity of the door's seal with the ground.

What I don't understand is that OP's garage has always been like this, yet he still lowered his car. That's saying something right there...

Just get another house for the BMW. One that has a garage that isn't entered via stairway.
