Manual Sport Seats for 2009 335i

According to the BMW USA website the sport seats for 2009 335i sedans and coupes are now "8-way manual adjustable." My 2007 335i coupe seats are electronic. When did BMW change the sport seats to manual?

I think he meant that the power seats were a part of the zpp (premium package). Do you have zpp on your car? I think the standard zsp comes with manual seats and if you have the zpp, that adds the power seats.

If you get Sport and don't get Premium you have manual seats

You can add *electric seats a la carte from the ZPP package.

Most dealers choose to order their lot cars this way if they do not include ZPP. Not many people, even enthusiasts, really want a BMW with manual seats. Especially at the price point they start at and what other premium brands have as standard anyways.

Straight from the website.

Interior seating
8-way power front seats with 2-way manual headrests and driver memory with 2 pre-sets for seat and exterior mirror positions
Leatherette upholstery
3-spoke leather-wrapped multi-function sport steering wheel with audio and hands-free phone controls
Front seatback storage nets

Adding Perf pkg. changes the type of seat (deeper side bolsters) but they are power.

Adding premium adds:
• Digital compass mirror
• BMW Assist with Bluetooth System
• Lumbar support
• Auto-dimming interior and exterior mirrors
• Universal Garage Door Opener

I think the reference to the 'manual' seats in the configurator is a typo.

After all the website also claimed at one point that the 335i has a V-6.

This is correct. The 2009 335s have power seats. On the 328, you need ZPP or the a la carte power seats option.

Yes, power seats are standard in 335i and lumbar support is what you get additionally if you get zpp.
