Messed up suspension! *pics*
man, i was driving normally and i was making a right turn at a slow speed. maybe 10-20 mph. but i didn't clear the corner enough my right rear wheel hit the curb now the whole wheel is tilted. traction control and brake light are on. the car is all wobbly.
i took my car to firestone they lifted it up see nothing wrong with suspension. but didn't take off the wheel to check. and the aligment was too off to get realigned (2.9) something. bmw wants to charge me 160 just to inspect the car.. i thought it was bs so im gonna take my car to a body shop. any clue whats wrong? when i drive straight my steering wheel is tilted to 11:00 position. That sucks.
Unfortunately I don't think you have much of a choice at this point. You'll probably have to take it to the dealer. A picture or two would be helpful for us though.

wow..you must have hit it pretty good ...how high was the curb? I would go and get it fixed at a reputable shop if you don't want the dealer to take a look. But most dealership give you the $160 credit towards the repair if you decide to get it fix with them, correct ?

Take it to the dealer. They might charge an arm and a leg, but if you want the best job done, you have to go back to them.
I hopped a curb once too, and when i got my car back it actually felt better than before from teh dealer. Thinking back, I dont think another place would of done as good of a jobe. |

I did this once before but fortunately only required an alignment.
You really don't have to hit the curb that hard to effect quite a bit of damage to these lightweight suspension components. My guess is you bent something, but it can be easily replaced. Bite the bullet and get the dealer to fix it... I'm not sure you have much choice. |

subframe should be fine. I did something similar but was going faster. I bent my lower control arm... I replaced it and did an alignment.

Why in gods name would you take it to the dealer? Take it to an independant BMW shop.
ANYTHING that is going to cost you money should never go to the dealership. |

Take it to a reputable shop around the area to have this fixed. You don't need to take it to the dealer so that they can charge you as much as they want. If you see nothing's visibly wrong, then I think a few adjustments is only needed to fix the issue.
