i think hes talking about the buttons on actual steering wheel.if so u have to be on ur presets tab on idrive.then when you hit the up/down they will change through ur presets
|

Right and that's what the manual is saying. Maybe set the Radio in Idrive to the Preset mode first.

Any chance you are holding them down too long? They function as both preset buttons and search buttons. Tap the button either up or down to change to the next or previous preset. Hols the button down for over a second and it will scan to the next available station.
