My first BMW

I've been lurking for about a month since I bought my first BMW, a 2008 328i sedan.

It was impulsive - I hadn't planned to get a BMW. A co-worker of mine has a 2006 330i sedan and I got to drive it from Orlando to Jacksonville (about 145 miles) and I fell in love. When I got back to Orlando, I decided to look for a european sedan.

Not realizing that I could afford a BMW (had a LOT of negative equity and only $3k down), I went to VW and almost bought a Passat but while waiting, I went down to Fields and had a great experience. The sales person found a service loaner they had with 11k miles on it that they sold me for about $28k and with the neg equity, still financed less than MSRP and at 2.9% with the first 2 payments made by BMW.

While it's pretty basic (the only options were automatic and power seats), I do like it a lot. It's better than the Accord SE 4cyl I had before, that's for sure. In the future, I'd consider a 335i (but I'd have to get a coupe) or a 135i.

The only real complaint I have is that the entry/exit is awkward because the car is so low and the seat sits behind the b-pillar since I'm a big/tall guy (6'4" 330#)...but once I'm in, it's pretty darn comfortable.

Anyway, that's my story - and this is my first post.
