Buy 3-series now or later?

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
The reason I posted in this area of the forum is because I may simply be convinced to buy NOW.

Option A: Purchase an E90 2006 330i now
Option B: Wait x amount of time to purchase an E92 2007 335i

Since I consider myself a value buyer, I can safely say I'd be happy with either car. Because we all acknowledge that BMW has the best value per $ spent, right?

So then it becomes a question of when, what, how, and from whom to buy. And after much deliberation, I decided to wait...and pound more bittersweet miles into my honda accord.

Let's forget all reasons for buying since that is what seems to differentiate most of us. Let's say that we are mainly considering the lowest possible asking price in addition to what else is available at the time.

And Happy Easter

If you were me, how long would you wait to buy an E92 '07 335i?

Later this year, you'll probably start seeing a massive sale on 07's. Think about it. You're not comparing just engines, but an E90 vs E92. Don't be one of those guys who lives with regrets. If you're waiting for them to hit a certain price range then wait.

Because of the large number of 2 year leases ending this year, inventory on '07s is high and you'll see pricing relatively low. Couple that with the economy and you'll see some sweet deals on '07s right now. On top of that, you can usually get your best deal on the last day of the quarter (i.e. March 31st, June 30th, Sept 30th, or Dec 30th) at a delearship since most are trying to make their quarterly forecasts. GL making the decision!

im sort of in the same boat as you, except i have an 04 accord.

cant seem to find a 330i configured how i want, so i guess my only option is to wait. i hope BMW FS extends 0.9% CPO financing to 2007 models when the current promo expires on 4/31.

Thank you for a practical and realistic recommendation!

I'm really hoping BMW financing will be extended onto 2007 models as well. It would be HIGHLY encouraging
