Advice on Mercedes S550
Going to do a deal tomorrow on an 09 S550, new car. I have negotiated for days and managed to get about 19k off msrp. I feel its a very good deal but I just wanted to make sure since there is a lot of money in question. The car is for my father, I'm looking to get the best deal for him.
Please let me know if you have a ballpark how much off msrp S550's are going for. Thanks.

The MB forums are pretty dead, especially the S class section since that is generally older buyers. I am the designated car negotiator in the family.

S550 is a great car, but keyless entry is pretty much a necessity for the car. Plus with that option, you get the "Trunk Closer" button on the rim of the trunk. Laziness FTW!!

The car is black with cashmere interior, P2 package, 19" wheel, ipod, bluetooth, power side sunshade, rear seat package. 98,880 msrp. I am aware of the facelift for 2010 but what allows us to get an S-class is the 19k discount and 1.9% financing. Neither of those you will be able to get on the 2010. Same goes for the new 7.
Were going to pick it up later today, it comes out to about $19,500 off msrp.

WHY? If i didn't negotiate my mothers 650i Vert she would have been taken to the cleaners.
OP, I think you're getting a good deal, but I don't know much about that model.

I go and negotiate for my parents cars too. I don't mind doing it and my parents can use their time better than running around dealership to dealership. I do all the dirty work, and then they come in and sign papers

Dont do it
Great deal, but if I had that type of paper to drop on a MB it would be the CLS FTW.

I can't say for the 550 model, but I helped a friend purchase a S63 a few months ago so I'm familiar with those numbers. |

Keyless go and trunk closing etc are part of the P2 premium package.

Their invoice shows 92,019, TMV shows 94,545. We are getting the car for about 79,400. I guess edmunds is not up to date on S550 discounts

Honestly, your nutz for buying that car new...
You should buy a used 08 with low miles in the 60's or even high 50's.. you realize 9.25 percent TAX difference between 80k and 60k is 2000 alone |
