Should I get Z4 Coupe?

Just wondering If I should get the 335i or Z4 since I already pay down payment for the 335i but still dont know the montly payment and also mpg. If the mpg is not good on 335i. I would be mostly be getting Z4 Coupe. The problem is that which car would be more expensive on insurance since I am only 18 and good drive with out any ticket or accident driving for 1 year. Please let me know Thanks

well a coupe insuranse is way more than a sedan, consider that, also space, you can only carry another person so is not a good car if you are going to be with yours friends.

I had in mind the z4 convertible and I have never get a ticket and the insuranse was like $450 montly!! (I'm 19)

and also I was not going to be able to carry friends, so I got a 330i, fast good mpg and everybody love it !!!

if I was you I will go for the 335i I think is more car for the money, the z4 is like a fast toy.

and if you go to college is better a 335i b/c you can go out with your friends etc... but hey is ur money, get the one that make you happy.

You're buying a BMW and you're worried about MPG?

Come on now man, if you're THAT concerned about it maybe you should be buying a civic or a hybrid?

335i has 4 seats and z4 has 2 - I think that is a pretty major factor.

335i is the more powerful car and will be the most expensive to run and insure - although it seems to me that this can hardly be a factor if you are able to afford either of these cars at 18.

Single with no kid ---> Z4 Coupe
Married with no kid ---> 335i Coupe
Married with kid(s) ---> '06 330i or '07 335i Coupe
18 and parents are buying you an expensive car ---> Porsche Cayman

I was driving a Honda Civic DX Coupe (5 speed but NO TACHOMETER!) when I was in a dental school.

You gotta envy kids with rich dads... I wish I was driving a Z4 coupe when I was 18 but then, I wouldn't have had time to study.

As for insurance , its cheap in Illinois. For my '06 330i AND my wife's '02 Acura TL, we pay $160 a month for two cars. That's with 250 deductible and over a 2 million coverage if we kill someone. We are with Geico.

New Jersey was freaking crazy expensive. I paid over $250 a month for a Honda Prelude. I knew people who's insurance payments was more than their car payments.

Agree with MikeyMike, if you can afford a Bimmer why worry about gas and insurance? Anyway, with either car (being a high luxury car) you'll prob end up paying an arm and a leg, so just get what you want and what you'll be happy with. IMO, get the Z4 M coupe

I actually contemplated a similar situtation as the OP. I am 18 and finish high school 1 year ago. If I did not attend a Private Institutional University then I would be driving an M5 at the age of 18 at this moment and time. But I chose not to forfeit my education for a vehicle.

Ok fine, a private college/non-state college. A College where tuition is basically a crime.

PS - Perhaps I should have left out institutional, in the post. I tried to make it sound better.

But to the OP - you're a young kid, so get the Z4.

Well I work at A&F but I gonna be needing a better job and also I'm in Community College since I still want to live at home and save money while at the same time. The reason is that I'm getting a BMW is because my parents always wants to own a BMW so they are letting me get it. But I dont know which one to get since both of them are really nice looking. My dad would be giving me the BMW when I'm off to the last 2 year of college so he is considering me of also getting the Z4. I just want to know which one is more fun and have better gas. Also the payment for monthly for lease and insurance. Right now I'm driving 99 Corolla and 04 Lexus RX 330 ( Which waste alot of gas 17/23=20) but alot of my friend said it does't look right on teenager since those car are for "Old People" . Please let me know what you guys think I should do. I really appreciate it!
