Possible. I was looking for homes in Cary, NC between $200-$300k that were 10-15 years old but then I ventured a few miles away to Morrisville and these brand new houses start at $270k so we'll see. They said it would take 6 months to build. My dad is there checking them out as we speak and he says it's a beutiful setup. They didn't skimp out in any way and the setup has little one way streets behind the houses with the garages in the back so the front of the houses aren't cluttered and it is pretty unique. They have tons of different models, but those are the only ones starting under $300k. They have a 6 house buffer between the different models and they all look so different that it makes the neighborhood look much less fake. Here is the website, if you look under homes, and then cottages, and plan 1 you will see the different models. I excluded the last one in the series, the Victorian, because I don't like it at all. http://www.kittscreek.com/kittscreek.html

wow for 270K you can probably only buy a craftman tool shack in Southern California Glad to hear there's still reasonable housing prices out there. Housing down here starts at 500k to 600k (for 2 bedrooms) and I don't remember we all got a million dollar raises in the last 4 to 5 yrs to be able to afford a house...it's a grim picture..then again maybe it's just me since pay raises for a McDonald's burger technician just doesn't go a long way

Honestly, I don't like any of those. Hopefully the interior has a nice floor plan to make up for the exterior.

I like the Federal. It's very close to my English Tudor. I really like my house. Although it was build in 1927.

English Manor.

Only one I don't like is the Queen Anne. Looks too much like a church.

That's a funny looking Queen Anne, but Queen Anne homes can be quite beautiful, and fantasy-like. Knowing what the "real" ones look like, my vote goes for #4.

I don't like any of them. Sorry! Where exactly is this in NC? Why is it so expensive for just 1800 sq ft and costs $270-300k?

Nikki, click on this link and you can see what other home in the area you are talking about are going for. That is an expensive neighborhood and town! Water looks pretty nasty. What about the Willmington area? Close to the beach.

I have to agree, that's an aweful looking QA home. All of them seem to be 1/3 of each type of home listed. And they all seem to be designed for a small vertically shaped lot.

But if I were to choose one it would be #1.
