Exclamation BMW Fest East 2009! NEED FEEDBACK!

Edit 5/16

Bimmer Fest 2009 will be held at and sponsored by Paul Miller BMW in Wayne, NJ.

Date: July 12, 2009

The dealership has parking for 300+ cars!

Conveniently located near many major highways

Service and Parts departments will be open for people to see the facility as well as our showroom that will house some of the hottest BMW's on the East Coast (Post which vehicles you think deserve to be on the showroom for display!)

Tell your friends!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just posted in the NY Tri-State forum, but want everyone to know about it and submit feedback! Please either reply here or in the original thread here:

This then leads to another question....is 90 cars enough? Thats how many we had last year. I'd like to get something HUGE. Hence why I've declared this years MegaMeet Bimmerfest East 2009.

If you know of a place that can easily hold 100+ cars that is better than my 2 suggestions please feel free to comment. Also, I'd like to have sponsors this year. If you know anyone that can help out with this that would be awesome as well.

The pics from Bimmerfest out west got my mouth watering and I'd like to return the favor to the Cali guys!!

I'm thinking either June or July for this to set it up right.

POST UP

No nonsense please.....lets keep this ON TOPIC

If you really want big and the vendors to come, you do it in DC or Hilton Head, NC. That way you are catering to the East Coast. Put it in NJ, and you probably will be lucky to get anyone from below the VA line to come up. Strictly my opinion based on all the annual events that go down in NC.

+1 on DC.. not because its local.. but its ideally a mid point for east coast.. and has lots to do for those who come in early or stay over..

BMW CCA has DC covered; ChapterFest is Sept 26th. Last year we had WAY more than 300 people and cars. Its a combination autox, show-and-shine, swap meet, and huge meet. We'll have pit BBQ this year and its open to EVERYONE (not limited to CCA members). Various chapters up and down the East coast will be invited and its also on the way for many people going south headed towards OctoberFest in Atlanta.

I'll put out more information during mid-to-late summer

Guys let's not be hostile. The NJ crew did a stellar job setting up last year's BMFeast. They did the footwork and met the challenge of creating a megameet that involved multiple car communities spanning different states (no easy task mind you, having been involved in the planning of our own DC metro meets).

We, in DC metro have always dreamt of creating such an event but they were able to gather up enough resources to realize the dream and they've been considerate enough to have consulted us at every step of their planning. They've always granted us the premise that their meet is as good as ours.

I humbly urge those interested to lend support by voicing out ideas and opinions, as solicited by our fellow member.

WTF dude. all I did was post what event we'll have in DC. i'm glad someone wants to pull this off and i'll give them whatever help I can. including driving up.

if you don't like my 'spam' then just ignore it. doesn't bother me at all if some don't like it. and if you really want to make this personal, PM me and we can continue this conversation.

agreed, if we lived in Cali...then yeah grass would be awesome.

HAVE YOU SEEN THE RAIN AROUND HERE....could imagine a nice big grass patch after a heavy thunderstorm w/ 300 cars on it, most of them slammed to the ground....

I still say Canaan Valley, its awesome out there.

there are plenty of spots in DC...but DC roads are brutal and there is no real nice drives on the way there. I have been up to bear mtn in NY earlier this year and there are some nice roads around there, I would be up for having it there.

Where ever you decide make sure it is within 300 miles of Quantico, VA. Farther than that and I can't go due to weekend liberty restrictions

All I ask if you try and make it by a beach.

But I agree..I think southern might be fun. Hilton Head, NC would be a blast. Same goes with Myrtle Beach?

Plus, DC roads are terrible.
