It feels like I hit the jackpot! (Ford Fiesta)
So tonight I went to go see Angels and Demons at Muvico 24 in Davie, FL (awesome movie BTW). After I park the car and start to walk up to the theater I notice something out of the corner of my eye. I then instantly shit myself, went into hysterical teenage girl mode, and called my GF to tell her what I was beholding before me.
"Hello?" Me: "HOLY F***ING SHIT! BABE DO YOU KNOW WHAT I AM LOOKING AT?!!" "Desperate Housewives is on, what do you want?" Me: "F*** DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, THEY'RE A BUNCH OF WHINY BITCHES. DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM LOOKING AT?!" "What is it?" Me: "A MOTHERF***ING FORD FIESTA!!" "A what?" Me: "A FIESTA! REMEMBER THE NEON GREEN CAR THAT OUTRAN THE CORVETTE IN THE MALL!?" (I made her watch that scene from TopGear) My friend who went with me: "Dude, I'm going to get the tickets, enjoy your gay love fest with that car." "That's wonderful babe, my shows on, goodbye." So I was left standing there alone to fondle myself over the car and take pictures. I was extremely tempted to break into it to play around, but after hearing about Ford having 24/7 GPS tracking on the cars I decided against it. Anyways, it looked absolutely amazing in person. It must be one of those Fiesta Movement cars. I've been eagerly awaiting the cars release, and seeing it in person absolutely sealed the deal. I am going to drive this car as soon as it comes out, and as long as it drives halfway decent I am buying it. There are only 100 of these things driving around the US, so to see one is lucky as hell. Yes I know, I sound like a retard, but I really like this car. There could have been a Ferrari next to it and I would have only been drooling over the Fiesta. Here are the pictures I took:

If it wasn't for the fact my friend was with me I would have sat next to the car until the driver came and begged to drive it.

You have to understand that here in the land of Ford Motors, we don't even GET the good small Fords that the rest of the world gets. Here in the US, that Fiesta ends up being more exotic that any production Ferrari or Lamboghini, because those you can at least go down to the showroom and buy.
A lot of enthusaists feel tha US customers have been completely gypped because the Euro Fords are better quality, often have better performance, and have better styling, and would fare extremely well against what passes for small car competition.

Cool! I have lvoed these little cars for a while and am excited to have them release.
We don't have them in the States. In fact, it's part of the "Euro Fords" which have somewhat different builds and aesthetics than the American Fords (read: better). Americans have been waiting to see Euro Fords here in the home country for a while... hence the excitement.

ChrisV and Spec1 hit it on the head.
For you guys who are asking why am I drooling over a Fiesta its because we don't get cool Ford cars here. This car is fun, gets great mileage, and because of it's hatchback design can lug some stuff around when you need it to. I think it looks worlds better than the Honda Fit/Scion xA&B. This car is going to be the start of Ford's revitalization of their US lineup with truely excellent cars. Think about it. We get the ugly and awkward Focus while the rest of the world gets the aggressive and beautiful Focus and Fiesta. We get the Escape while the rest of the world gets the Kuga. Also, there are only 100 of these driving around the US right now. How many F430's do you think there are? I'm betting 100 in South Beach alone. I don't even think they are being shown at auto shows here in the US yet, so this thing is SUPER rare. The third reason I am going nuts over it is because I am a huge HUGE TopGear fan. I thought the little review of the Fiesta last season was one of the best reviews in TopGear's history, so that endeared the car to me. Ryouken, If I had seen a Focus RS I would have shit bricks.

Mulally needs to get of his arse and get these over here asap, he can charter a ship himself if need be. I really love the look of the front end, but the rear isn't too special. But either way nice find, I would have left a note on his windshield with my phone # and asked for a test drive/hang out session.

Nice find but sounds like you need a new gf. If I found something like that and she wanna hang up to watch her show I would be like "bye b*tch".
Oh and Desperate Housewives has nothing interesting or worth watching (except maybe Eva Longoria). |
