Priority 3 to Priority 1 this week! Aluminum+lemon?

Ok soo, dont get pissed. A couple weeks ago I posted for your opinions on color combos. Appreciated, thank you. My wifey got hold of this forum and started to look at color combos. We were set on Titanium, Terra, with aluminum trim for a 335 sedan. This is the last week before it goes priority one, we were given a couple weeks to decide on final specs. So she sees some Lemon interior pics and starts going crazy, "oh wow, thats nice." So she came up with Arctic, Lemon, and aluminum. The second choice was Titanium, Lemon, Aluminum. I the think the Arctic combo is different. I did a search and found a E91 with that combo, looked promising. Ok, so what do you all think, any real life expereince with these combos, Would two light colors like Silver and Lemon work??? Thanks!

A bit OT, but all customer ordered/sold cars are Priority One. I think you meant to say that you are at status code 112 (Order sched for prod'n) and are a week away from status 150 (Prod'n started). If I am not mistaken, Priority-3 is dealer stock and Priority-9 is performance center delivery.

I think both arctic/lemon/alu and silver/lemon/alu are too washed out, especially with the alu interior trim. I think lemon interior works best with the blacks and similarly dark-hued colors (monaco blue, deep green and SG) and is best paired with the wood trims. Have you seen Paul330d's black/lemon/poplar combo?

I did see that arctic/lemon combo...looks interesting/nice but not for me.

All the best.

That is true. But I heard someone here mention that you can order it if you do ED but I can't confirm that for sure

I personally would get Lemon with a wood trim and choose a darker exterior like SG, Blue, etc

first off id like to say that the lemon int. is absolutely stunning.
[with dark wood, of course.]
I dont see the artic/lemon comb. too washed out, but it would make a nicer contrast with a darker exterior. try the Sparkling Graphite, you wont regret it.

goood luck!

Lemon interior is opened up for MY2007. Its the only priority-1 option available i.e. customer order/sold only, no dealer stock cars.

Lemon interior as a Priority-1 option for E92s (335i), as well?

Also, how can an American buyer (doing ED) get 'Jade Gray' (preferably, with the anthracite headliner)?

Is there a way?
One poster writing from Canada said that, while it wasn't listed as an available interior color, he was still able to order his E92 with 'Jade Gray' -- can that end up being the case for a U.S. buyer?

Check other posts regarding this combo. I remember reading a response from someone who had seen this interior/exterior color scheme and said it didn't work well together.

Trying to match 'whites' can be a tough call. The alpine has a slight blue tint, the lemon is said to have a very slight "yellow" tinge.

Also, beware that the arctic has a green tint under certain atsmopheric conditions. Very tricky color to match IMO, similar to SG but even more pronounced in its color variations.

I think Arctic/Lemon/Alu would work, but it is a long way from the traditional German dark contrasts. Don't kill me on this, but I also would view that combo as rather hi-tech feminine. It would fit in well in SoCal or Fla, but not in more northern regions.

Arctic white (different from Arctic and Alpine White) might also work well with lemon/alu, but that would be a special order.

The light Arctic (or Silver)/Lemon/Aluminum combo is a bit much for my taste... I like something either dark or with some contrast.

If you're set on the Lemon (which is an awesome color), I'd say go with a dark exterior.

According to this e9x ordering guide Option LCB7 (Lemon/Black) is offered as a P-1 option (the only one) on e90 sedans, only.

Jade grey interior option is not listed as regular or p-1 options. Its probably not impossible but it won't be easy to get special options. As it is, you can custom/special order your car with special non-e9X paint (from BMW standard colors) for a $2,500 premium if that's your cup of tea.

Thanks to everyone for their input. We've been at color combos for a couple days now. After some input, the light color on light color wouldnt be a good match. I kind of knew that but was trying to stay away from black. I think black and maybe the new Crimson color maybe the way to go. Well see. Maybe Black Sapphire, Lemon, Alum. I'll lt you all know. Thanks again

Not sure individual color is available for US buyers, even if you're willing to pony up the $$.

Back when I was about to place an order for an E46 M3, I noticed that a few M3 owners (from www.m3forum.net) had gotten individual colors (exterior and/or interior) for a significant additional fee. I didn't get into the specifics of how they did it, but it had a lot to do with having a good salesperson who was willing to go through the trouble (and of course, $$$).

So far, I haven't heard of anyone sucessfully getting individual colors for an E90.

I agree with the black (or dark) color and lemon.
I wasn't not sure between Arktic/lemon or Jet black/lemon for my E91. there was during somes months in the Brussels airport a E91 Arktis/Lemon.
It is for sure a good combo, but it needs ligth or sun.

I saw an other E90 Arktis/Lemon during my trip to Adriatic sea, the car looks fantastic under the sun. but in NOrth Germany i prefer the contrast of my Jetblack Body with LEmon interior. But i repeat the Arktis in a fantastic color if you are in a sunny country....the color is always changing and it is for sur with a ligth interior a perfect combo for Hot clima (i was not able to touch my car when parking under the sun at 14.00 PM...)

I 100% agree, see my last post.

( I forgot to mention: Adriatic sea is the sea between Italie and Croatia in south Europa).
I saw both combo in north and souths reegion and i had exactly the same impression that you

I think you would be happier in the long run with your first choice of TiAg/terra/alu. If you really want to go Lemon, then I would consider montego blue, Monaco blue or arctic. It will be a pain to keep clean. I don't think Crimson works with lemon.

Thanks, yeah, well be keeping the Titanium, Terra, Alum. Ill be adding a spoiler to the mix today! So its on so to speak. How about a Carbon Black, Lemon, Piano Black E90 M3 for the future. Of course I dont know if theyll continue with the exterior color. My wifes current M3 is Carbon Black.
