After 2 months, not thrilled with my E90

I have had my car for about 2 months now. Coming from a G35 6 spd coupe to a 330XI 6spd and loaded with everything except park distance control, I am not completely thrilled with the car. I really miss the torque of the G35. I can hammer the E90 and it is not fast at all. As far as styling goes, I was hoping the rear of the car would grow on me but it is only getting worse. I can't get over the ulgy rear end the E90 has. I have the same feelings for the E92's rear end, its just not that good looking. I guess I was really spoiled by the G35's rear. I still think that the G35 coupe has the best rear end in the market (daily driven cars). The main reason why I came to BMW was becuase of the M3. I have always loved the M3 and have wanted one since I purchased a lexus IS300 back in 2001. I wanted to get one instead of my 330 but I didnt becuase the model is coming to an end. Now I feel like I have made a huge mistake and dont know what to do. I leased the 330 for 27 months, its been 2 and I find myself looking at M3's online every night. I am so depressed. What should I do? swapalease.com on my E90 and get an M3? What other options do I have? What would you do?

I Dont miss the torque of my Maxima (essentially the same car as the G35 no matter what you say) in my Z4 3.0si (same engine as your 330).

Mind you, you also came from a RWD coupe to an AWD sedan with less displacement and complain about power.

I guess swapalease is the right way to go if you're this upset with the car.

I hope you're not married because over time, her rear end is going to grow too.

Well obviously if you don't like something why keep it and pay for it.
I don't know what damage will be done by swapping the lease or early termination fees will run but if you're willing to take the cash loss hit, do it.
No sense paying for something that you hate every day.
I feel you on the G35 rear end. Damn sexy that one is BUT I love my e90.
It may not go as fast or launch as hard but there's just some things about it that make me happy that I own one.

You could try to have a family member take over the lease

Why didn't you get a different car in the first place? I drove the E90 330i at an Ultimate Drive for the Cure, and I realized I wanted more power than it had to offer. So, I've decided I'm not getting one. Thinking 335i or a 335si if there ever is one. Maybe, M3. That is, if I don't end up getting an E60. Perhaps, a 535i or 550i.

if you bought a car just for straight line speed, then you bought the wrong brand (unless its an M model)...

As you know, BMW prides itself on other aspects of the driving experience with decent straight line performance...

LMAO there's someone on here that's not happy with their Step and wants a 6MT. Maybe you can sell him the car.

I got it becuase since 01 I wanted a 3 series. I went for the cheaper IS300. I sold it in 03. I again went with the cheaper japanese G35 coupe. This time around I definately wanted a 3 series but the E46 is now at the end of production so I went for the new style. Don't get me wrong I love the car, but I just see the M3 and just feel like I made the same mistake for the 3rd time in a row and now just buy the damn car!

The Maxima is an entirely different platform, it's a FWD while the G is on the FM platform, RWD. Yes, the engine is the same (though different specs), but they are far from the same car unless just sharing a motor makes them the same... in which case the whole 3 series, 5 series thing is clearly a sham.

if your unsatisfied with your car i'd suggest you trade it in for a 335i sedan next year. thats what i would do if i had the option of trading it in.

I don't get why you want a 3 series if you r not happy with the power/ToQ
and the rear end look
didn't you test drive the 3 series at the 1st point?
if you are really thinking about getting a M3 go for a used one(way cheaper?), or look for other cars?

g35c rear end is ok, but no way is it the nicest. g35s rear end is no good.

anyway, sucks that it's not working out for you. maybe you should go car shopping and find something else.

that's funny, getting an Xi is not something that will give you that torque rush.

You are not the only one. The rear-end of the G35 is not even comparable to E90's rear. G35's rear is really.... work of an art. thats what you call a NICE ASS.

You know, I actually "feel" ya. I still look at M3s(e46) and think just MAYBE I made a mistake. This whole sedan thing isn't my cup of tea. I do plan on trading the car in this winter for a nice little coupe. Then again, whenever I drive around, I find myself enjoying the car. but yes, sometimes, I just wish the E90 had more kicks.

Just feel better man, and try to think positively. Thats what I do.
I came from a 230whp/2900pds/5spd honda to a 195whp/3400pds/Auto BMW.
You can guess how slow this car feels compared to my japanese buddy.

Then there is this thing about driving a bmw. I say you just enjoy it while it lasts.

btw i woulda gotten a g35 or a TL but my friend has a moded g35 & i don't wanna get the same car as my friend... didn't go with the TL because I didn't feel it was as luxurious as a 330i... but of course it has a little more power. i'm not sure what the lb/hp&torque ratios are though.

This guy is a TROLL!!!!!.

WHY DID YOU BUY IT IN THE FIRST PLACE????

GO AWAY!!!

We can't help you.

I doubt he has a 330xi.

Why come here to complain about your E90?

Go to the g35 forum and ask them.

IMO, you should sell it at a hugh loss and buy another (JAPANESE) g35.

If you are looking for a daily driver the M3 may not be a great choice. Have you been on the forums yet? Hope you like buying tires every year or less.
