Will the rear center head rest fit the right and left rear?

I got my car tinted yesterday and they removed the left and right rear head rests. Does anyone know if the center collapsible head rest would fit in the left and right side?
I notice that the rods on the outer rests line up with the center ones but I can’t get the center one out to try it? If I know it would work, I would buy two of the center ones.

Has anyone tried this?

I have a problem getting my left/right side out. I have no problem getting the center out. There is not enough head room for me to lift the left/right side out. It hits the rear glass and no more room to pull it out of the holes...

I have the optional (in Europe) dropdown rear headrests, so you should be able to order the exact parts... if you can figure out how to remove the old ones.

Hmm, I like those left and right fold down headrests. I doubt it's worth the money to replace them but I would have loved that option when I ordered.

Wonder why we can't get those? Oh. The usual problem.
My dad's old '80s 300E had power-folding rear headrests...almost twenty years ago.

A few months ago, I looked into getting two additional center headrests to replace the left and right. For me, it seemed too expensive ($229 each list).

That is pretty expensive. I'll have to see if I can find them in a salvage yard. What are the odd of finding 2 totaled E90's with black interior?

hmm...i guess the rear fold down seat option would come in handy in this situation. I've never thought about replacing the left and right head rest but it sounds like it would look pretty kewl, but not for $229 each.
