Tischer ar wash question

Just had some service done there and turned down the car wash because I have read horror stories about automatic car washes. Has anyone had their car washed at Tischer for service and if so how did it turn out.

By the way, the service was great. They put in a new valve cover gasket because mine was leaking. Covered under warranty.

Do not get your car washed at any dealer. I have seen them wash cars and they use brooms and such to was your car.

NEVER take your car to a carwash. My jet black E90 is a poster child for why you should never do that. Learned my lesson. Still need one more detail to make it look perfect.

exactly...never use car washes....personally...wash it youself with lots O soap (hale...it's, fun right) wax it....and if you absoultely must clean it...just get a hose and hit it with suds...remember any contact with a sponge or brush will leave minor scratches......if you have black car i feel for you..

if it'silver/grey...don't wash it much at all...imo

I turned down the car wash at my last service at Rasmussen Portland Oregon. They tried like hell to wash it for me. The lot kid brought the car out, then turned around and went back to ask about the wash. My SA had to tell him again that I declined the wash. I hand wash only.

Years ago this same dealer did some service work on my black E36 325is. When I went to pick it up the car was covered in swirl marks. I imagine it was the end of the day, the bucket of water hadn't been changed, and the wash mitt was covered in dirt from the entire day's worth of cars it had washed. Never again!

What do you use if you don't use a sponge? I believe the consensus these days is that grout sponge is the way to go!

not worth it. it usually comes back worse than it went in as.

there really is some truth to it when they say- there is no such thing as a free lunch.

Tischer is my regular servicing dealership. I usually request "no wash." But I forgot on one visit and the car was washed. No swirls, no damage, no complaints. My car is Arctic Metallic, so those with darker finishes may have a different experience. But I looked closely at the finish and found no scratches or swirls.

We use soft brissel brushes at Tischer. I wash my car all the time with them and have no complaints. No automatic wash Tischer got rid it a couple of years ago.

I always ask for the "No Wash".
I forgot last time and they washed it.

More swirls in my car.
Oh well.
