Resetting 2008 328XI Warning Lights
Gentlemen,
I hope this isn't too off topic but I chose to post here since this seemed like the most technically astute place to post. I've recently purchased a 2008 328xi salvage unit and have completed repairs. I need to get the warning lights reset (seat belt and air bag) and don't really want to go to the dealer since I may need to reset multiple times to get things right. Also, I don't learn anything if I let the dealer do it. I recently ordered an INPA cable and downloaded the software but have also recently been informed the software is probably too old for my car...and I'm still waiting for my cable to arrive from China. Are there any reasonably priced tools/software that can read and reset the warning lights fro a 2008/e90 series BMW. This is my first BMW in10 years. My last was a 1986 325es I drove for 11 years and 246K miles. Thanks for any help you may be able to provide. jmd_forest |

Richwm,
Thanks for the reply. I took a qiuck look through their site and I may very well give them a try if I can't find anything cheaper. $247 isn't too bad but this is likely a 1 event issue (may take a couple of tries till I get the everything working right) so I'm trying to economize. Again, thanks. jmd_forest |
