Udub - just put it on a tripod, set your camera's internal intervalometer on to shoot a frame every 10 seconds or 3 seconds or whatever. after 24 frames, you'll have a second of footage. got some time? ;]
if your camera doesn't have a built-in intervalometer, you can buy one for your specific camera from your manufacturer, I'm sure. i think on the Canon line, the 5D2, 50D and T1i have it. Nikon's D200 and up have it.
