Alright, texting while driving? Obviously stupid -- but that doesn't stop tons and tons of people from doing it. The Gwent Police department in Wales hopes that its newest PSA film will help deter this bad behavior. In much the same spirit as the drunk driving on prom night films we ourselves had to sit thorough in high school, this film is pretty graphic. Okay, it's actually shockingly graphic -- but we're pretty sure that's the idea. Video is after the break.

It's actually relevant to a LOT more than texting - dialing your phone, digging for a certain CD, applying makeup, checking your face in the mirror, etc. Too many people trying to multitask . . . .

Can't tell you how many times someone's drifted into my lane because they were eating or on the phone or whatever. Most of the time it's on a divided highway so the chances of a head on are less, but still - you are in control of a vehicle in the range of 2 tons, it's a deadly weapon at highway speeds.

This kind of stuff should be mandatory viewing for all drivers license applicants.
