E90 Facelift for 2008 - Clear Headlights

According to Car and Driver, it looks like the E90's getting a new front bumper, and that clear turnsignals are finally coming to the US!

I wouldn't put too much faith in that, that may be an European test car

Man that would be sweet if it is certainly true.

But I doubt it's going to happen mainly due to DOT regulations. The clear headlamp (without any amber reflector anywhere on the front fascia) wouldn't comply under DOT laws.

Say it isn't so

I hope that is a test car, cause I have been waiting for the convertible and it sure looks ugly.

No wonder you didn't see the Euro license plate. So the reflector will go to the front fender like e92 because it's required to have the orange reflector in NA...

If this is true, then those of us with the 2006/07 models should be able to swap them out, without having to deal with the orange reflector on the bumper.

If/when they do the facelift, it won't be "without any amber reflector anywhere on the front fascia". It will have the bicycle reflector like the E92.

Man this cracks me up....LOL
Earlier in the week, before we all saw the 2007 AW 335i E90 sedan (with NO changes), everyone thought these SAME pics were of a 2007. HAHAHA....love the ungrounded speculation!

Exactly!!! Everyone thought this was the 07 e90 but it is just a European Spec car. Still funny that we just confirmed that there are no exterior changes for the 07 so now everyone is thinking this is a facelift for the 08. As the world of speculation turns.

bigger pics here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29669

it's a euro-spec test car. the headlights seem to be unchanged. if the 2008 us-spec facelift does not have the amber reflector integrated into the headlight, it'll surely be on the bumper like the e92.
