Damn G35, time for ///M

so this kid pulls up next to me on a red light. I'm on the far left lane, and he's on a left turn only lane. The left turn lane "T's" into a construction sight, so right away I knew this kid was up to no good. I know the G35 can out run my 330i, but no way in hell was I going let this kid cut me off.

Green light and we both gun it, but there's traffic less than half a block ahead and he wont back down, we're both neck and neck but finally i move over to the right to let him in, but he was going too fast. He ends up in the left turn only lane at the next light and sure enough cuts off the guy to his right.

 WTF! the only reason why this kid tried to punk me was because he knew he had the faster car. He was behind the car that was behind me, so not it's not like he had alot to gain by passing me + there was traffic up ahead.

If I had a M3, i can guarantee he would've stayed put an not try to pass me from the left turn lane. So now, I'm really looking forward to the release of the next M3. I'd like the see someone try that on a M3!

Yeah, that is the main reason to run out and get the M3...

C'mon we all do it. We frown upon it, especially when we see other drivers, but sometimes, you just can't control it. Too much adrenaline and ego makes for a bad cocktail on the road.

If I drive reckless with my GF in the car, she threatens me with NO sex, so I behave when she's around.

We all, especially us younger guys, need to harness that energy for something else. Maybe the ladies?

For real, listen to canucklion man. Leave the racing to the track. Not only do you put yourself in danger but you put other people in danger too. Not only that, you waste gas and possibly damage to your car if you loose control of your vehicle (physics hurts man).

And so what with the M3? Yeah, it's a sweet ride but it'll be just pure stupidity if your motive for getting one is just to win street races or somehow intimidate other drivers. That's when a 16-year old whose daddy bought him a Farrari rolls up next to you and burns your M3. What'll it be then? A Lambo for you? Where will it end? Sounds to me like you have some size complex if this is all it takes to get your feathers ruffled. What...you think somehow your manhood is threatened from some kid showing off in a G35. Give me break! There are worst things in the world to worry about man. Try concentrating your energy on helping cure something worthy in this world like poverty, bigotry, ignorance, etc.

Look man, your in BMW 330i. It's a luxury sports sedan. Take confort in your smooth ride, turn up your favorite tunes, and enjoy the ride and life. Leave the street racing to the morons and let Darwin deal with them.

like I say, it's not worth it, so you 'win' in that race, what does that give you? and in the process, you cuold've gotten shot, or rolled over your car

i agree completely, but wut can i say i get carried away sometimes. not to mention, a few blocks before this, i was nearly run off the road by a MTA bus and some lady nearly hits me by turning right in front of me. to top that all off, i've had a week from hell....i guess this kid was the breaking point....

Haha, yea. he did try to punk you. But dont worry, he'll get his some day. When I had a modded prelude, I used to pick on everyone until someone in 300ZX ripped me a new one. In my modded TL-S, I used to go around picking on everyone until someone in an M3 destroyed me. Thats when I decided I wouldnt get an M3, i'd beat them without joining them. Boost THIS!

E92 335 should take care of this. However, street racing is bad, dude. What if that kid got into an accident because of you, could you sleep well at night?

Yo maybe the g35 had you on a straight away but I guarantee you would of had him on a curvy road! Because I have raced faster car then my 330i before and they couldn’t keep up with me around the turns, I blew most of them away.

Maybe he just didn't think ANYONE would gun it at the light unless they had a Fast and Furious sticker on.

Some of you guys here sound like a bunch of old men. Or even worse; "The Fun Police"

I'm 40 now so I don't really race, but if anyone is going to try to over power my car to get in front of me they better have a faster car (or at least ask). I was at a stop light one day and the person next to me (acura tl) was in the turning lane. I guess he decided that he didn’t want to turn so when the light turned green he gunned it attempting to get in front of me. Guess what? He didn’t and I have to admit, it felt good. You should have seen the look on his face. If he would have gestured to me that he wanted to get infront of me to get in my lane, I would have let him. But instead he thought that he could take me, wrong move.

Nothing wrong with having a little fun on the road. Cutting in and out of traffic is stupid. Stop light GP’s are fun. As long as you stay in your lane and there isn’t any other traffic around what is the big deal? The car won’t “flip” or do anything different. Reading some of the responses here, you would think that once you give the car some gas it instantly goes out of control and starts doing barrel rolls down the road.
