After Market Aluminum Trim

Hey quick question does anyone know if you can have your wood trim swapped out for the ALU trim...if so how much and will the dealer do it.

Yes, you can. You can do it yourself, not hard at all. I definitely would NOT pay the dealer to do it.

yeah, from what I've seen, it's just 'pry and snap', definitely a DIY project

Yes. As a matter of fact, I've ordered my 328i with Alu trim but it was too late to change the order. So it's coming with Grey Poplar and my dealer ordered their next car with Alu trim. They'll swap the trims when they receive the 2nd car.

I ordered my car w/ alum, but it came w/ dark wood. Several weeks later, the dealer did swap it out for me w/ the trim from another car at no charge. So... Yes, they can do it, and they did a fine job of it on my car - no scratches.
