Anyones 335 still awating transport?

My 335 has been awaiting a ship since 9/3. My SA tells me heightened security at the port. He also said nothing is wrong with the car, otherwise it would show a red mark somewhere on the order.

Mine was completed on 9/7/06 and I am still waiting for a ship. I am getting so tired of hearing "Your car has been transported to the port and is awaiting a shipping vessel" from BMW NA.

My 335 has been at the port waiting a shipping vessel since wed. I'm waiting for delivery to the east coast.

First, call the 1-800 number and wait for customer relations and get the exact status from them. They have real-time information and can track the car up to the ship. They cannot tell you what ship you are on but can genereally tell whether you are in fact on a ship. I find it almost impossible to believe that your car has been at the port since 9/3 and did not get on a ship. My car was completed on 9/5, was shipped from the factory and got on a ship. It is supposed to arrive in NYC on Sunday. I have no idea what your SA means by "increased port security." That sounds like BS. Probe him/her on that... why, what was the cause. That will give you insight into the character of the person you are dealing with. I am an East Coast delivery so the particulars are a little different. But I believe you could have been on two ships if completed by 9/3. You might have been able to make the Sirius Leader but I know you could have made the Pegasus Leader. Check that post for more info. I think your SA is misleading you.

Yup, I've been waiting for a ship since around 9/3 also. I've called BMW and also called my dealer, but apparently they don't have any control over the situation.

I wonder if repeat buyers get pushed ahead of others?
My car completed on 9/9 arrived @ dock on 9/13 & boarded vessel on 9/14.
My car just left UK and is on it's way to Canada & arrive in NY on 9/28.

Manon?

I just called the 800 number and got "In Transit" - changed from yesterday. Looking at the 2wGlobal site, the Manon left on the 21st and the Atlantic Concert leaves tomorrow. So either I made it on the Manon and they took a while to update the status, or I'm on the Atlantic Concert and they update it before it leaves port.

I sent an email to my SA to see if he has the info.

UPDATE

My SA Rocks. He sent back the info in a few minutes. He confirmed I'm on the Manon. His email was pretty funny:

"
I don’t know how to read most of it, but I do have the information, and I’ll list it below. Tell me what you find, I’d like to know.

[SHIPPING INFO WAS PASTED HERE]

This is exactly how it reads on my system, as far as shipping information is concerned.

This is my third BMW from the same dealer so that would I think make me a repeat buyer also.

I just emailed my SA. They have all that info at the dealer.

You're in NY too and you changed to in transit about the same time as me. You might be on the Manon with me.

Here's the tracking page, but it hasn't been updated in 9 days. You have to wait for them to radio in...

23 days awaiting shipment? Other dealer has one already on ship and will be here at dealer in about 2 weeks. Can I get my deposit back?

I think my car is on the same ship as yours. My 335i sedan left port in Europe between 11-13 Sept. It was scheduled to ETA yesterday 9/26 Sunday. Any idea where and why it's taking so long for the ship to cross the Atlantic? I asked some Navy and Coast Guard guys and they said that normal and standard cruising speed for large ships is 16kts. It should've been in NJ sooner regardless of inclement weather. Have you received yours already or are you on the same boat as myself (literally)?

Sly, you won't even remember the wait once your car gets here!

This is all part of the fun...

Finally

After being completed on 8/30 and sitting at port (193 status) since 9/3, my SA says wil be loaded on the ship Fuji on 10/1. That's a month just sitting there...anyone else experience this?

That sucks man

Not to depress you further but I remember when I first came to e90Post and you replied to my new order thread. I placed my order around the time your car must've been complete... and my ship has already made it to the East coast. So that's really jacked up  My sig. shows the timeline so far.

It worked, I'm depressed further, but very happy for you since you will be in your car very soon
P.S. Nice write up in the new Car and Driver on the E92.
