side mirrors

when in reverse, does only the right side mirror aim down to the ground ? or is both suppose to aim down for you.

last week, none of my mirrors would aim downards when in R. but this week, after coming back from the dealership, the right side mirror will aim down, but not the left hand side one. I know you can see the left easily, just wondering if it was broken.

No, only the right one tilts down. Its for parallel parking in order to see the curb.

If the adjustment button is on the left side, then the right will move up and down. if it is towards the right side, it will not. Maybe visa versa, idk, its almost midnight.

If the adjustment switch is pointed to the right, it will not go down. To the left and it will.

I'm guessing that on right side drive versions in Great Britain the left mirror tilts down. How often in the US would you need to parallel park on the left hand side of the road. I guess this could happen in a large city with parking on both sides of a one way street.

Thanks, Mike.
