fuel leak

filled the tank up to max and next day see a puddle of diesel at the rear wheel where the fuel cap is. went for a drive and come back and it stopped leaking. what can be the proble? becasue no car should be leaking ever if its full to the top.

Sounds like someone jacked your gas. Probably siphoned it with a hose and the puddle is what spilled out.

found the problem. its a common problem on e90 the breather pipe and bmw say its going to cost £500! to change the pipe. have to remove the tank and drian.

its about $750 dollars but i got it done for $275 from a private garage.

it was the breather pipe very common on e90s
