Arrow 2010 BMW 335i or 2010 Audi S5

Hi guys, I am currently driving a e92 328i and plan to purchase a new car within the next 2 weeks. Do you think I should go for the Audi S5 or just go ahead and order the E92 335i as I don't think I will be able to wait till March 2010 for the facelift to arrive. Thank you!

the 2011 is going to be disappointing to wait for and since you already have an e92 why not try something new

Please try and be kind & gentle on this thread...

My 2cents? S5 is a lot more $. If you really want 4wd, the Audi is nice. Otherwise a 335 with a few $k in mods is hard to beat.

+1 i have never like audi either, pluss the 3 current 3 serries is up in 2012 so if you wait till 2011 then your car is in style for about 2 years untill the new modle comes out. correct me if im wrong

i would get the current E92 335 with the M sport package and have it be a done deal

I have been lurking in this forum for quite some time but did not register until today. Basically I regretted getting the 328i (really a slow car) and should have went for the 335i in the past. I really love the design of the S5 but in terms of handling, BMW win hands down.I plan to buy a new car and the M3 is out of my price range, hence its either the M-Sport 335i (if I buy it now) or the Audi S5....

Any opinions are greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I said wait for facelift, haha. 2 weeks before the 335 and coupe came out, I did a 3 year lease on a 330i. Now that's no 328/325, but I get where you are coming from!

I am not an audi person, unless you get a RS4. Are you planning on leasing/purchasing?

Get S5 if you can wait for the V6. Else, 335. Or, 2010 S4 is also nice.

100% agree with stressdoc - drive 'em and see which one floats your boat

My Bus partner runs a S5 and its a very cool car!

My idrive is way cooler tho! (BT nav saves music etc. M-sport LCI 335d vs S5 )

My car is greener too

But you guys cant buy a M-sport d?

Even if you wait 'till the 2011 model (NB. if it comes in March production, add another 2 months before it's in your garage), they'll eventually make some small changes in November again and your car will still be just that little bit older. There's no point in waiting for these, unless it's a completely new model series.

Taking $$$ into consideration, I picked the E92. If you don't care about money, I would go for the S5. Looks better IMO.

Dynamically the 335i is the better car IMO, and it's way cheaper. That said, the S5 has undeniable presence - it's one of the best looking cars on the market. I say test drive both and see which you prefer.

The S5 costs almost as much as the M3. That's what I would get.

I have a 335 M-Sport coupe and my friend has an S5. We switch all the time and it's really hard to pick a winner between the two. The S5 is just stunning inside and out. The E92 does feel a little more nimble and is much easier to tune. Go drive the crap out of both of them. Have fun.

+1...no doubt the audi wins in the looks department. however, the audi is overweight and its base price is $10K more than a 335.

exterior its either a tie or the s5 wins
interior, the s5 wins hands down. the seats alone are better than m3 seats.
engine wise, its close, but the new supercharged v6 has better HP but, the bmw tt still has better low end torque.

in the end the s4/5 with sc v6 has the edge (for a bit more $$$)
