Burning oil smell.
I just changed the oil on my '06 325. I now have the smell of burning oil after the car has run for a few minutes. There is no visible leakage! I removed the engine cover, cleaned engine with degreaser. The smell disappeared for 2-3 days, nows it's back. Any ideas out there?

Check around the oil filter -- any leaks up there? It's not uncommon for the old gasket (or part of it) to get stuck when removing the old filter. If it does, the new filter and gasket won't seat correctly, and some oil may seep out.

+1^ Also need to check on the back of the motor for an oil leak. Most of the time when you smell Oil Burning and you can't see a visible Leak check the Valve Cover Gasket on the side or back of the engine where it could be leaking down onto the exhaust.
