Hello Everyone,
Hope all is well, just sharing some pics from one of the builds we are working on in the shop this week. This one is a 2001 E46 M3 coming in for our Active Autowerke GTS8550 Supercharger Kit Upgrade. Current mods include Headers, and Borla exhaust. We will be adding our new Stage 2 clutch and flywheel , The Active Autowerke Gen 6 Signature Exhaust and of course the SC kit. Customer decided to go with our upgraded intercooler system so he can later upgrade to the Stage 2 build with fuel system.. Please feel free to ask any questions or share your feedback. Save your money guys...
This supercharger system is simply repackaged version of their old ROTREX ball friction design that they use to sell. (now discontinued for a very good reason) That system underperformed (when going heads up against the competition) The REASON it underperformed, is because the ball friction type superchargers create a lot of unnessesary heat (as a by product) and that reduces the power output of the system. You guys would be better off buying the VF Engineering supercharger system, since their Vortech centrifugal supercharger does not have this fatal flaw. Besides, VF is offering in-house finnancing to those who cannot afford to spring for the entire cost of the kit at one time. VF's kit produces more power, and that power is more CONSISTANT over time. VF's water-to-air intercooler has been proven to help their supercharger system produce more power than the AA supercharger can. (with less boost) AA's kit is decent, but the VF kit is badass.
