What do you think of this car price wise?

http://www.menziesbmw.co.uk/usedbmw/...VC92010FG86979
I'm thinking of changing my (08) Golf R32 (DSG) for the above car.
Depends on how much cash they want for the change if any.
How good are BMW with trade-in values?
Thoughts on the car?
Hope the link works lol

I bought my car from Menzies a couple of months ago. Make sure they have the V5 'cause I'm having problems with them. Long story short I'm still waiting for the V5 and they assure me its being done. As usual once the car has been sold, go to the bottom of the stack. The salesman I dealt with was Will Haggon very reasonable and gave a good trade in on my car (effectively £10k on a 55 plate 320d SE coupe with 58k on the clock against an 08 325d M with 3.5k on the clock).

yeah I've had the same problems with VW and Audi retailers re: V5 and other stuff they forget to do / tell you.
Just waiting to give them a call regarding my trade in. Don't want to waste my time and petrol money driving from Liverpool for them to give me silly money for my car against the BMW.

I drove about the same distance from Manchester, so real pain in the ass. Really freak them out and ask how Hazel is when you get there. Shes the used sales manager

If you set off at 5:00a.m. you get there just before they open do the deal and back home for lunch time, after stopping off at the big Morrisons for a fat b@stard breakfast.

Yeah i know it's a bit of a trek to go there but if it's the right car i don't mind.
I've just called but they seem to be busy on sales, the girl said she will get one of them to call me back later. Did they give you a px price over the phone before you drove up there to sort your deal?

If it's any help i also got mine from menzies, and found them outstanding. Especially compared to the muppets elsewhere. They delivered mine too, but there again, there was no part ex.

FYI curley, I did all the haggling over the phone and invoice was faxed and signed. All that was left to do was drive up and inspect, pay the remainder, sign and drive away.

They were initially below average on the first valuation of the trade in but they warmed to doing a deal and after a bit of silence from me on coming back with some more cash they agreed. They started off offering £8k for the trade in... so there was movement of £2k. Also depends on how long they've had the car, how desireable it is etc.

Good luck with the search.

Thanks for the info marcm I'm in talks with another dealer but not BMW main dealer, normally only deal with main dealers so it's just talks at the moment. He's offered me £18,000 for the R32 with just on £2K to swap but this is the first offer lol It's just a waiting game. The 330d has got Lemon leather and I'm a bit worried about keeping it nice and clean with this car being my work horse/every day runner. Also waiting on Leeds VW to see what they offer to buy the car, don't want px as not interested in another VW
