I dont think thats a major wire involved in the electrical system. Explain how your car doesn't start. Does it crank?
Can you use any electircal components in the car?
Does it unlock via the key fob?
what happens when you put the key fob into the slot and press start....
and also anything you may have done prior to the car would help...

nothing works. theres no power to the whole car. the fob only opens the driver door i had to open the rear seats to open the trunk to get to the battery. when i try to start the car nothing happens no sound its just dead. I brought it into BMW like last week for the same problem and they said it was a wire that was dead. So they replaced it and they said that should work now. So im thinking it might be the same problem.

that statement contradicts "theres no power to the whole car"

I think it has to do with the shipping of the car. I remember seeing somewhere awhile back that they plug something into that, but can't remember what. Once it gets off the ship, it just chills there.

that was my first thoughts..but in another thread here (battery change) i saw it hooked under the positive terminal on the battery (big red square thingy) so today i will check if it can be plugged anywhere.

Anyone has this hanging or have any idea where it goes?\\
