Identify this part please
I pasted a squirrel this morning and heard it flopping around. Didn't see him come out, so when I got home I popped the hood for a look. No sign of a squirrel, but I found this rubber part on the left side of the car as you're facing the front. Laying on the plastic under engine pan, sort of wedged under the front subframe near the axle. It is about one inch tall and one inch across. Looks like some sort of suspension "bumper" or something. Can anyone help me identify what it is and where it goes? Thanks!

Funny, but not much help. Can't be from a six shooter cap gun cause this one has eight shots, plus my cap guns shoot a different kind of cap called a bullet.
Seriously guys, any ideas? |

It's a satellite tracking device normally placed on squirrel killers.

It looks like a rubber vibration isolator....I would look around the air filter enclosure. You might have to remove the enclosure itself. If your still under warranty let BMW do it.

Thanks guys. Its not under factory warranty. I have an extended but wont waste time at the dealer for this. I'll pull the airbox this weekend and see about putting it back where it goes.

just pull the airbox up and look for a metal post sticking up from the frame rail. it sits right on that. The airbox has a small round depression where it sits on this rubber bushing.
