Intake suggestion

So which intake gives the most power? I am getting the BMS powerbox in about a month but I also want to get an intake. What do you suggest getting for more power?

statistically shows injen gives the most gains and sounds really nice.

Can't go wrong with the injen. I got mine about a month ago and i love it. Bavarianx in OC has them and will install it for free if you buy it there (about $340 i believe). I was told it's the only aftermarket intake for our cars that is CARB certified so you can't catch any flack from the po-lice.

Anyone know what happens if you get pulled over with an intake that is "awaiting certification" ie aFe?

Haven't had any warranty issues after being twice to BMW for regular service maintenance.

What do you mean?? What cop in his right mind would look under your hood. At least no cop in NJ would. The AFE intake is street legal. If you poped the hood most cops wouldn't know what the fuck they are looking at anyway.

the injen supposedly gives the most power, but on a hot day i am not so sure...especially since it's going to be summer soon the weather is getting hotter, you're going to want something with a good heat shield.

Injen seems pretty top notch. Although it needs a cleaning once in a while

go with AFE. best sound, good price, good gains. great throttle response. and comes with the heat shield. injen does not.

Geez, another intake thread from the dead. I guess the 'sound' thing is more important to people, even though they lose power in several ranges of the torque band with these aftermarket intakes, especially in the summer.

Best setup FTW IMO: K&N or aFe drop in filters, scoops, carbon filter delete, silencer delete
