I am randomly reminded of the Audi commercial regarding parking your own car.

I think the parking sensor you're talking about is the beeping one. It beeps slow then turns into a continuous beep when you get too close. I think it's purely up to yourself if it's worth it or not. I personally probably wouldn't use it often but I can think of a few instance where it would come in handy.

Garage List
ive seen them, i like em. Id rather have the sensors on my plates rather on my bumper. If you dont have RPDC then i reccomend them, they are worth it.

I have one sitting in my home and never installed (it was meant for my sister's car). The best one is called Meta Targa SR2, there is a review in a known auto magazine which praises it.

I have the official BMW one installed on my 3 series. I have gone through 3 of them and it still goes off during rain or other random times when there is nothing behind the vehicle. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't purchase it.
