So I just picked up a 1994 SC'd Acura NSX.
I flew out to Kentucky to buy it. It is getting shipped out here right now. Here is the original for sale thread but I will take more pictures when it isn't raining in Kentucky.
http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=127978 I am pretty excited to add that to my collection of cars. It will be here this weekend.

Should be around 350-400whp and 3XXtrq. Car wasn't designed to be blistering fast, but had the best handling in the world when I was designed. Awesome CAR!!

Honda is killing off all their nice cars. The S2000 is done I believe too. This car handles amazing compared to my 335i. It has 350whp right now. It is on the low boost pulley. It can get another 50 with a pulley swap and new fuel injectors.

What miles are to be expected on these cars? and with what prices? I'm interested, but know little about them.

actually, The NSX engine is known to run forever as high as 250k miles on a stock engine. The magic number seems to be 400 whp where you need to start adding things to help out. Science of Speed has a mile engine build for their supercharger that runs about $6,000. The engine isn't that solid for forced induction beyond 500whp. I know someone with a wicked turbo setup pushing 550 at the wheel and he has built up his engine since he blew a rod.
I will probably drive it as is for awhile and then consider beefing it up in a year or so. It feels pretty solid right now. I can't wait to track it. They live to be driven on the track since that is where you notice how well balanced the car is.

Looking good. Big thumbs up on having the balls to buy a sportscar with that much miles, number of owners, accident and modified. I guess for the price you can just dump it or part it for parts. Guess it takes some research to pick out a gem in used car market. Congrats.

The accident didn't have any frame damage. It was pretty minor it appears. That did bother me at first. I had a prepurchase inspection that helped things out. The car is really good shape. There are quite a few NSX's with 100k+ miles out now. For those that don't know much about the Acura NSX and are used to German cars mileage isn't as much a concern. Believe me, if my 335i had 116,000 miles I would be worried something major would break. Actually, I am thinking I need to have some noise checked out on the BMW anyway.
