Question about BMW Buyback @ 50,000 miles.

I have went back to dealer for 5 times for engine malfunction light that repeatably came back even after them fixing it. Finally they resolved the issue by replacing the whole turbo and the wastegates. I have had other problems in the car as well. While going through the procedure, me being frustrated called the BMW NA and I have explained my situation to them and they told me "do you want to get out of the vehicle sir?" and I told them yes. So after weeks of waiting they have called me back saying they have the case ready and now you just have to wait 3-5 business days to know for sure if your car will be bought back. She has also told me that I have a strong case and most likely will be approved.

Now my question is my car is a 2008 335i coupe with 49960 miles. So basically 50,000 miles. Can they possibly even buy back a car that has 50,000 miles?! I mean I would love to get out of my vehicle because for a year and half of ownership I been to the dealership at least once every 2 week for warranty work.

Any inputs?

BMW can offer to buy back your vehicle whenever they want, but they will deduct for mileage and condition, si it isn't "I paid $40k for the car and I'll get $40k"

I'd bail

I had a 335i. Now I have a 335d. I guess it depends on what they offer you. If they offer you more than what your car is worth, say enough to get into another 2008 CPO with 49K miles on it, you might keep what you have. If they are offering to put you into a 2010, then I'd definitely do a swap. My 335i was nowhere near as unreliable as yours- 3HPFPs, but only one that happened away from home, and even then I was near a dealer and I lost about 4 hours of my life. No big deal in the grand scheme of things. I'd shudder to think about owning that car out of warranty, however....

I think there is a zero percent chance they will buyback a car with 50,000 miles but if they do please let us all know because the most miles I have seen on a buy back is 24k but the car was 12 months old.

As per your warranty period, you may get money on the buyback but it will be much less than your expectation.

I am blessed to have a 335i with no problems (no HPFP replacement neither!) except for those STUPID squeaky breaks @ 37k miles. It must be so frustrating having a nice car like the 335i, but not being able to enjoy it because it has so many issues. I would definitely pass on the 335i if I were in your shoes...unless they give you an offer you can't refuse. The new S4 is nice, but might have the same issues as the 335i...+1 on 330i,328 or M3!

Yeah I hated that too. They finally replaced the brake pads and rotors and now the noise is gone. THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN FIX THAT IS BY GETTING NEW BRAKE PADS. If done other wise the sound always comes back.

Be smart and ask a lawyer who deals with lemon law. Ask him what you should get back. Don't just accept what they offer.
When you need important advice, you ask those who actually know... not people that'll just post their opinions.

My e92 335 broke down on me again at 49,500 miles. It was the last straw, I traded it on the new car.
