BMW Performance Center

We just got a 6er and we got an invitation to the BMW Performance Center for two people. I was wondering when the best time to go was. Opinions are appreciated.

Give us the details of your new 6er!

There is never a bad time to do the Performance Center. You will get very detailed information about your car on how things work/function .. and you get to play around / drive around / do safety scenario's in a 6er!

GO FOR IT!!

Indeed, the performance center delivery program is great fun!

Here's pics from my brother's Z4 M coupe delivery there in 5/2007 and my 335xi coupe delivery there in 5/2008.

From MD, it's just about 500 miles, so if you can do that in 4 hours, averaging 125 mph, maybe you don't need the training! <LOL>

Actually, I did it and had a GREAT time. The comp'ed hotel and meals was fantastic, the tiny-group factory tour a blast, the X6 driving over their torture hills was a lot of fun, and then to the track! Wow. They actually kept on repeating to us, "If your tires aren't smoking, you're not pushing it enough - keep saying to yourself, " 'It's not my care, it's not my car!' ".

I did PCD for 06 Z4 3.0si as well. Great experience.

I'll tell you a secret: The BMW roundel on "The Zentrum" sign as pictured above...if you take a picture at night with flash, something else will show up - and its not the roundel. Now you have a mission for that night.
