Problem with Blu-ray

Hey guys. I am currently having problems with my Blu-ray player. Since day one, and this only happens with Blu-ray disks, the sound would go out for about a 3 second period before coming back, no picture issues. Now it is about 10 times a movie. Also, I get these things which are as if the DVD is scratched and the player is trying to fight through it. The image freezes and all sorts of loud noises come from the machine before it finally takes me back to the menu. It will malfunction at the same point in the movie if I try it again. Any ideas as to what is going on? Could the sound issue be something with the HDMI cord? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I'd try a new HDMI cord first.. dont bother with the monster cables... over priced for nothing.. I have a 10$ HDMI cord that works perfect

which player are u using?
the best to use is apparently the PS3
been doing bluray for years now and never had problems like that with it

its your player thats fucking up, Im 99% sure. But to be sure, try a new HDMI cable first since its like 2 bucks from Monoprice.
Since BD is a relaively new technology and I tend to believe new technology just work better by the company that invented it, so I would buy either a ps3 or a sony if you are gona replace the sammi. (i wouldn't buy anything else from Sony tho, they are overpriced, flaky, and sometimes difficult to work with non sony shit)

Is the Bluray player plugged directly into the TV with HDMI, connected to the TV with HDMI AND to a Receiver via HDMI or ToSLINK, or daisy chained to a Receiver THEN the TV? Knowing this setup could help answer the question.

Is it possible to bring the TV and Blu-ray player in to the room where the router is?

Call samsung and ask for a firmware disk. Toshiba still mails me disks for my (defunct) HD-DVD player.

Hi guys,
I am having the same problem with the the Blu Ray Disk “Wanted”. We have tried two different disk from Blockbuster and the disk are in perfect condition. After Loading and watching the intro, when I hit play the movie shows the FBI warning and then as “the sun comes up” the player shuts off and then reboots, reloads, and then the same thing goes on again over and over. The disk will not allow me to FF over the problem. My Sony BluRay Player is 1 year old and has only been used moderately at most. I am wondering if it a problem with the firmware on the drive or just this particular Blu Ray Disk - “Wanted”. I have many other Blu Ray disks and never have had a problem with any of them.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
