Ive descided on going to an e46 for many reasons. but im not leaving E90post
1. im 20 years old and although i CAN afford the 500 mo. car payment, i wanna cut that price in half so im not drowning in debt already, and wait to the new F(3 series) comes out and get the 335.
2. Insurance and interest is too fucking high
3. Im 20 and want to spend money on other things, alcohol and drug related

Donno if you're serious or not but I'm in the market for a used 330ci ZCP. Found some around $19,000. How reliable are they? is it smart getting a used BMW?

i had a 97 e39 for 2 years and it was reliable, 1 owner... had every bit of paper work from all the service work...i spent like 900 the whole 2 years on it including oil changes, which is cheap as hell

i would say depends on the year. i have an '06 325xi and it has been in the shop many many times for stupid issues. lots of electrical stuff.

my brother has a '04 325xi and it has never had a problem. never in the shop and runs very strong. both cars have 60,000+ miles.

just try not to get the first model year and you should be ok. Interior wise i dont like it as much as the e90 but its all preference. driving feel is different and throttle response is different but neither are bad just gonna have to get use to them.

i would definitely recommend sport package, as the non-sport steering wheel is very thin and not too comfortable.

one noticeable difference though is that the exhaust note on the e46 is much nicer than the e90

I think the ZCP was offered on the coupe after 2005 so it will still be relatively new. It's very hard finding a good one.

im assuming you mean ZHP as there was never a competition package for non M e46's.
