Buying e90-need advice
Hi guys, my first post.
I left today deposit for e90 56 plate 318i SE saloon. Car one owner, and owner is BMW, with 80000 miles on clock with full main dealer service history. Overall car is excellent condition, all works as it should. Now few stupid questions Is engiene chain driven on e90 318 or belt? What is common faults with 318 e90? I moved from TDI to petrol, i know MPG will be not good, but what roughly will i get? |

A few people on this forum have reported issues with the 320i, I don't know if the 318i shares the same problems being similar size/type engine. I believe a few 320i drivers swapped to 320d's and seem happier with them. If you are use to your Passat, maybe a 320d would be more suited as you might miss the torque and MPG. |

Problems with 320? Is it 2 litre engine or 2.2?
What kind of problems 320? I choose 318 for economy to be honest, I did not do much miliege on my TDI, or main milege was arround town. I know 318 should return good 28mpg arround town, which i will be happy with. |

318i is a fine car though. I ran an e46 318i touring for a couple of years and it was great. |

You will get 47mpg driving sensibly. I had a problem with MAS but thats it. Hope yoiu aint planning on modifying it as there is nothing out there except cosmetic mods. If you look at my garage i have the M3 reps (18") on mine. Give you an idea.

By the way.....if you need to renew the runflats, dont....get non run flats, most people on here will agree with me am sure !!!
Its very economical, cheap on tax and insurance too, i am only 22 and its perfect until i get herself a volvo estate and then have the task of choosing between a 335i, 335d or a mad project......thinking of a corolla AE86 trueno with a twin turbo supra engine or stick to what i know and go mad on another MK2 escort hahahahaha |
